Is it weird for a guy to ask if he wants to check out the insides of your car?

Well, my coach and I have a decent relationship, we talk at times and laugh. So we're kinda like friends... My car is A LOT better than his, he likes it, and he asked to check out the inside especially the dashboard, if I don't mind of course.

Now, some woman said it was suspicious, and now she had me worrying. He didn't do anything just basically saw the dashboard and said it looked nice.

So was it weird what he asked?
