I recently bought a HTC Desire off someone. They had used Bell and I use Rogers. When I place my SIM card into the phone, it says I need a SIM unlock code. What do I do? Is there an expire time? (like after a month does it unlock automatically?)

I suggest you can get a permanent unlock code from Unlocking4u.com and remove the network lock from Bell network in your HTC Desire phone.They also provide free instructions to aid in the process.Once unlocked you will be able to swap networks.
