How to create a cd cover in InDesign ? (front and back )?
Its for my homework. I have the instructions on what to do but i only know how to do the first part... I dont know anything about layers or text or anything like that.
In InDesign, you will create a CD cover and tray (back cover of tray). You will choose your favorite musician or band (or create one), research industry specific information on the internet (lyrics, publisher, and/or refer to a real CD for this information). Your design can be predominately image with text supporting it, please include industry specific information in the back cover (like a real CD). You will be required to use layers in this project.
(1) First you will create a new document with 2 pages (this will be your front & back cover) that are 5" x 5" (roughly the size of a real CD).
(2) Next, you will create the first layer on each page, your first layer will contain your main large image on each cover.
(3) After this you can create your first text layer, probably your band's name on your front cover and industry information on the back cover.
(4) After this you may be as artistic as you want, be creative and have fun!
