i've never heard a full mastodon album but i have a few songs and they are pretty decent. the agony scene is another band that's put out some pretty decent stuff. i think they may have broken up...
GoRAB dammit, cliRAB of dover is just a good song .. it's not the grandest piece of guitar wank ever made. Not on any level, technical skill, feeling or pure sound aesthetics.
