One thing I love about post punk is how the bass sets itself apart from the guitar. Some pretty great bassists have come out of that movement actually.
Kanokon episode 10
- Wow Kouta is sure getting braver
- That looks like a really bad pose, specialy with Noz watching
- Lol what an image that is
- Hahahaha that is an awesome title Noz
- You...
Hatfield is always a good bet for anger, but I don't know about the other two.
'Heavy' may have an element of sadness or reflection that would make it slow
and brutal, whereas 'anger' tenRAB more...
I think you'd have to throw OTEP into this conversation - any of the songs where she's screaming about the abuse - heartfelt, heavy and very, very angry.
Yeah I've also gotten into this band recently and I am digging it. Some good stuff. They are from Australia I believe?
Don't hold me to my word on that story - that's just what I've heard/read somewhere, at some point... I may have even dreamed it. Who knows? I'm pretty sure I didn't dream it though. I think.
He is right.
i think he's great.
If anyone could go further back than The New York Dolls I'd be interested
You've been warned about this, if you can't say anything constructive then don't bother.

Because Beirut is awesome.
Haha, why thank you :D.
Diabate's a bit hard to describe. He plays a much more chilled style than a lot of the rougher-edged desert blues you've got coming out of Mali at the moment. That and it sounRAB a lot more like...
Oh yeah, I forgot all about Klaatu. :(

It's no wonder that people used to think these guys were secretly The Beatles.
john entwistle of the who - he wrote some weird things and he never did anything when they played, he just stood there............
