If I am going abroad using a pay as you go Vodafone, will people in the US I...

...call get charged by Verizon? I am going to Italy, purchasing a pay as you go Vodafone. I will be calling my parents on their normal U.S Verizon plan (not international). I'm assuming they won't get charged by their carrier because it's pay as you go, correct?

Only you will be charged for the outbound/international call. They will not pay extra for the inbound call.
