I have been putting her in a swing since she was born and loves it.I do not know what I would do without it. She is three months and still loves it, it even helps her sleep sometimes.

My son is 8 weeks old and likes it. He likes to be held more though, so he has to either be sleeping or in the right mood to put him in the swing or he will cry to be picked up. He likes looking at the mobile above his swing though, that keeps him entertained for a good 20 mins. sometimes. He'll just watch it while he swings. He'll sleep in the swing for hours though.

when my almost 3 year old was a baby she loved her swing. nothing made her as happy as her swing did. when she finally out grew it i had to get a toddler swing for outside and hang it up inside just to make her happy. now she still loves to swing, but she swings outside now lol.

My sister's kids both love it, but they're a bit older than your baby. It's a strange sensation and it might be a little scary for a baby as young as yours, just give your baby some time to realize it's not so bad, then try again. My niece was I think 10 months when she first really liked swinging.
