Is the movie Avatar 100% CGI? Or is humans the actual actors?

It's both. The real actors did all the motion stuff, and JC then used CGI to create and superimpose the Na'vi faces, characters, backgrounds etc. It's kind of like the technique used by Robert Zemeckis, but not the same thing.
