its the ipod nano from 2yrs ago.. never used it before and dont have instuctions book...please help

where do i find the tabs? when i click on the itunes it just brings me to my music.. no tabs at the top, just the play and stop button..

i go into the store and the only tabs i get there are music, movies, tv show, app store, podcast..
