    Is it true that Christians pick and choose which laws/rules from the bible to follow?

    What makes it ok to take some verses literally and others figuratively ?

    Nope. Christianity has followed the same rules from the beginning, never picking, never choosing. If you'd like a fairly complete list read the Didache.

    Yep.
    They cherrypick their bible to death.
    Anything that does not agree with their personal views they simply ignore or use the excuse "oh that was meant for the Jews, not gentiles".

    They are utter hypocrites about this.
