Thread: "Check Engine Light" on '01 Buick Regal stays on!?

We just recently bought the car, so we don't know a lot about it. When we first initially test-drove the car, the light came on, then a few miles later, went off and stayed off. We drove it about 200 miles after that, then the light came back on, and has stayed on ever since. We have now put about 1000 miles on the car, and the light is still on. Any ideas, or help? It is a 3.8 LS model, if that matters. Thank you in advance.

you can go to auto zone for a free scan, its one of many sensors controlled by the cars computer and hooking up a diagnostic reader is the only way to find out. It will read the codes and tell you whats going on.
