My grandma always say when I'm about to go out with my boyfriend
"Don't stay with him in a dark room"

"Don't stay with him in a dark room"
"I'm not asleep...I'm just resting my eyes". I made a group on Facebook for that haha :P
Heh. I can't think of any direct quotes right now, though I think everything my mother says is stupid so...
That site is cracking me the hell up though.
at least it's your grandma, my mom says the same thing to me about wet hair. she must think i'm stupid...or worse believe it herself:look: lol
My grandmother used to say "nothing beats a success but a failure"....took me years to figure that one out.
 I've never heard the phrase about putting your hat on when your hair is wet.
My grandma still believes you will catch a cold if you go outside with wet hair, though that won't lead to being sick.
After looking up this site...[Link], and certain issues, I figured I could start a thread on it.
So, what has your parents (or aunts, uncles, grandparents) told you that's either odd or stupid? Or maybe even funny that was supposed to be some sort of "words of wisdom"?
This coming from my grandma:
"Don't put your hat on while your hair is wet...otherwise you will go blind."
:blank: I wonder what that means for people who wrap their hair in a towel for hours.
