Thread: Bricked HTC Hero

Guys,

I posted a message earlier asking how to put an official h3g uk rom onto a previously orange branded phone.
I was told to boot up into recovery and flash the file splhard1_update_signed.zip.
Upon doing this my phone will now not start up?
I have also noticed that the charging light does not come on, when plugged in

I was asked to format the sd card and put DREAIMG.nbh on and then reboot using home and power/on. It didnt work

To Cross Flash the Hero, u need to create a Gold Card. but since u have Bricked your phone, your only option now is a J-TAG Device to Restore the Boot which will allow connection to the PC. Then u can flash it back to the Original Orange Firmware. I recommend ORT J-Tag, but its up to u.

I tried the back and on/off but screen is still dead *-(

my only option now seems to be jtag device.
How much are these devices? Where it best to get one from?
Would it be cheaper to take it to one of the phone repair places?
