1.) Sulfur trioxide gas gets bubbled through a solution of sodium hydroxide. What will happen to the final temperature of the reaction mixture?

I got: SO3 (g) + 2OH- (aq) ----> S(OH)2 (s) + 3O^2- (aq)

I don't know what will happen to the temperature, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the base.

2.) Dilute solutions of lithium hydroxide and hydrobromic acid are mixed, Which reactant feels slippery to the touch?

I got: H+ (aq) + OH- (aq) ---> H2O (l)
I said that LiOH was slippery to the touch since it's a base.
