I asked the question "Do you think humans have a natural desire for knowledge?" and I got some answers I wasn't expecting/looking for at all. So I revised the question. Do you think humans have a natural desire to KNOW?

It could be anything. Like the latest gossip, the answer to a terrible mathematical equation, or why we are put on this planet. People seemed to perceive knowledge as something deep and meaningful, but it isn't always necessarily.

This relates to Plato's The Allegory of the Cave, in the sense of the humans wanting to, or not wanting to, know what is really out there [what is making the shadows on the cave walls which they perceive to be reality]

So my question is, do you think humans naturally want to know? [Curiosity killed the cat?]
