    carbon hores...heads up

    I have been searching for this part for a long time and finally some one has made it.... I hate trying to keep the sprocket clean and I love carbon....so check this out

    I have bought it and now await for its arrival...will show pics when installed.......soon

    Do you suppose this will fit an 1198? The ad only lists the 848. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two.

    Looks like they'll ship worldwide! the link on the listing is www.star-carbon.com

    It's all Italian, but pretty easy to figure out what they're getting at. 65 Euros for the part. Not bad at all.

    Won't fit. The 1198 carrier has six holes as opposed to 5 on the 848

    2 quick questions


    what size is the nut on the sproket...is it 15mm

    also can i take the nuts off the cover without having the bike on a rear stand

    I have some reservations about this part, apart from it being purely cosmetic - (ie. it goes on over the standard part, with no weight loss).
    The retaining nuts which retain the sprocket and rear drive will be tightening up against the carbon/resin part, rather than directly against the metal part, and therefore won't be able to be tightened to the recommended torque.

    I had my OEM powdercoated when they did the wheels.
