Because it's a great film!
Haha, and so the circle begins once more...
Yeah, and Avatar doesn't even have any decent singing in it...
Oh, wait a minute...
Any success that this travesty of a film allegedly had is a sad indication of the extreme dumbing-down of the expectations of cinema goers these days. Really, I mean it was CHRONIC!
The film and the musical are VERY different there are more songs in the musical 'Knowing Me Knowing You', 'Thank You For The Music' 'Name Of The Game' 'One of Us' , 'Under Attack' and a full version of 'I Do I DO I Do I Do I Do' and the musical does move faster also the aragements and placing of the songs is different as well.
You can't go to either expecting the songs to be how ABBA performed them as they were re aranged when the musical was developed with Benny and Bjorns backing.
It does have to be said some of the performances of the songs in the movie are true to their musical counterpart though.
The musical cast can of course all sing in tune though.
I would say the musical is the better of the two and well worth it though being the West End the movie is a cheeper night out
It's very much like the stage show STILL on the West End now same writer and I think same producer they have a stage consisting of a revolving wall and set of stairs yet they are heading towarRAB 10 years.
MM never set out to be anything more than feel good.
I've seen both and both are brilliant
TDK and MM are chalk and cheese but I came out of MM feeling fantastic and THAT for me is a fantastic film.
Not MM's fault more people want to see it than TDK
I've got to say, I absolutely love Abba but the thought of Mama Mia senRAB shivers down my spine. I've caught bits of it on telly and the radio and just winced. I won't knock it 'cus I ain't seen it but I really don't think I want to see it either.
Been to see Mamma Mia tonight and loved every minute of it!! It's brilliant, in a good fun, cheesey sort of way Looking forward to the dvd
Yeah, Avatar was pretty bad.
