This happened yesterday.
I had finished all my meetings and my work for the day and was going to get the train home, but I saw that 'Maria Full of Grace' was on at the local multiplex, so I saw the 1.45pm showing. I was completely on my own in a 200-odd seat cinema!
I've been to see films where there's only a few other people, but never when there's been no-one else in the place. I couldn't concentrate on the film, because I kept hearing noises and echos around the place and turning round to make sure I definitely was on my own, that there was no-one hiding under the seats or anything. I also spent 5 minutes looking at the projector and watching the film by the reflection in the glass.
I wonder what happens if no-one buys a ticket for a particular show, do they still bother putting it on?
