Easily my least favorite QofSA single...
Out of this whole thread, the only song I have is the Peter Gabriel one,
I feel pathetic.
I can get down with this list, nice job sir. I'd pick another SP track though as I tired of Disarm almost as soon as it became a single. Too bad because I initially loved it. I hate when that happens.
I've never heard any of those never mind having them on my ipod.
Hmm...
Tegan and Sara- Living Room
The Mountain Goats- The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton
The Hold Steady- Stuck Between Stations
The National- Slow Show
Jason Anderson- July 4, 2004
A lot of you guys should have most of these. However, you guys NEED the last one. Especially the version off of Tonight. (In my honest opinion)
Nick Drake - At The Chime Of A City Clock
Scott Walker - The War Is Over (Sleepers-Epilogue)
Dionne Warwick - Promises, Promises
Belle & Sebastian - Fox In The Snow
The Band - Whispering Pines
Agreed. I'd probably pick something from Gish. I Am One or Rhinoceros.
My list:
Radiohead- I Might Be Wrong (for that riff)
John Lee Hooker- Boom Boom (bonus points if you have The Yardbird's cover too)
Nick Drake- Time Of No Reply (just 'cause the lyrics are so goddamn beautiful)
King Crimson- Starless and Bible Black
Jeff Buckley- Morning Theft (everyone neeRAB to hear his voice at least once)
i hear ya, but i hadn't listened to Disarm in about a decade until this week so it's all fresh again hehe
