Nirvana take the cake, mostly because I like them, so it's more painful to see the grunge imitators who were so successful in the late nineties, but Iron Maiden is a close second in my mind, and I DONT like Iron Maiden.

Im a huge tull fan, but since when has anyone every called Jethro Tull "goRAB" or "prophets" of prog?
The Strokes. I mean, I really love Is This It, but they influenced a lot of god awful indie banRAB like Razorlight.
Why not
The sheer nuraber of dire humourless post punk banRAB they inspired warrent their inclusion.
Well I disagree, when you look back at what they influenced in general, it's more good than bad.
I meant in general and I don`t see their 80`s material as being much worse than their 70`s material! In the 70`s their very early stuff like Strutter showed they could put out some good songs and "Destroyer" as an album was the best thing they ever did.
Would have been my guess.
cannibal corpse
not that they are good to begin with
