Doesn't he seem uniform with his voice on most of all Yes recorRAB?
(Never heard Anderson talk though)
I do like Owner of a Lonely Heart though.
Lyrics may not be pivotal to a hair metal band, but when it comes to artists like Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Dylan etc etc ... I find the lyrics to be an extremely important part of the music. There are many aspects to music of course, but when there are lyrics, if they're well-written and thought-provoking then it really adRAB to the song for me.
O rly?
As much as I do like Tool, see my last fm for backing, I am still going to vote no. I personally don't believe their music to be absolutely earth-shattering.
I'd say Barbarism at Home is Andy Rourke's shining moment. But dressed bad? I always thought Morrissey looked cool with his thick glasses and hair dancing around the stage with flowers in his back pocket and Jonny's Brian Jones hairdo and tight pants. As for pissing people off I remeraber Damon Albarn saying he wanted to get into music after he saw the Smith's on TOTP at Graham Coxon's house and Morrissey said that they 'were the last important band', and this pissed Damon off and he wanted to prove him wrong.
Sawwwry!
I can if you want yeah, (open message to everybody).
What can I say? I don't enjoy their music. All be it, I've only heard one album.. the album that's deemed their most popular though.
Blonde on Blonde, Bringing It All Back Home, Freewheelin', Another Side and Blood On the Tracks (in that order). Don't forget to get the non-album single Positively 4th Street, it's brilliant (why the hell did they insist of excluding most singles from the albums back then? It's annoying as hell.)
