I have been trying to find new music to listen to.I am looking for something that is similar to the SRV style I love the way he sounRAB,the blues with a bit of a rock edge.,I have recently listen to Los Lonley Boys "Forgiven"which I like very much. The track "Heart won't tell a lie" is by far my favorite.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Some of my favorites include SRV,Jimmy Hendrix Blues album, some Mannish Boys and Ted Nugents live version of Strangle hold.
Some good Shoegaze to get into?

Ok, I'm also getting into 50s doo wop. I don't know where to start though. There's SO many artists, and most recoded a lot of the same songs. Can someone set me on the right path to get into this stuff?
If you feel you need a little more, The Revels, The Centurions, The Lively Ones, and The Tidal Waves are a few names. Or for a little change of pace The Wipeouters are Devo doing surf.
In addition to boo boo's list - Popol Vuh also, especially if you looking for that spiritualizing influence and haunting beauty, as you said.
Tempered Red has really awesome funky basslines, look them up on myspace.
Oops! I probably missed the context of your request too, so quite posssibly a piece of poor reading on my part too... hehehehe... no harm done... at least anyone else here reading knows what I'd recommend!
