Colours is such an awesome record.
Colours is such an awesome record.
Of the 2000s?
My top two would be Radiohead - Kid A and Sigur Ros - ()
Though I have been give Controlling CrowRAB and Merriweather Post Pavilion a LOT of listening time lately, they need to sink in before I can properly place them.
As far as rock albums go...
October 1999 , so technically it's in the past decade.
It's hard enough picking a best album for each year...much less an album of the decade! Impossible task.
I said that it's a damn good album
--Hacride-Lazarus. I am only two tracks in but positively loving this. Fusing hard riRAB with passages of progressive arabience. The is the ****.---
Nowhere does it say that I think it's the album of the decade. Maybe I was just whoring it out and using the thread as a perfect vehicle?

It's a shame some of you have no fucking clue what you're talking about, otherwise your choices would make a bit more sense considering we're talking about 10 whole years of music here. :baseball:
Specifically, the following is an example of a list of albums I liked, but which are also noticeably influential/stand out within their respective genres.
1. Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
2. Maudlin of the well - Bath
3. Tool - Lateralus
4. Radiohead - Kid A
5. D'Angelo - Voodoo
6. GY!BE - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
7. The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium
8. The Tangent - A Place in the Queue
9. Pain of Salvation - Be
10. The Sound of Animals Fighting - Tiger & The Duke
Source Codes and Tags was pretty wicked too.
They're all metal albums, if you're not much into metal, than you probably wouldn't like them.
