I've had my BP around 2 years and he's never been aggressive. But in the last two weeks he's been striking at me. This first happened two weeks ago when he was in his feeding box. I went to take him out of the box after he has eaten, and he bit me. It didn't hurt, and i wasn't sure if i had startled him or if he actually wanted to bite me. Last week, I fed him, and this time i put a glove on my hand just in case. This time, he bit me and coiled around my hand like he wanted to eat me. (as if, he's only two feet.) I wasn't sure what to do, so i just poured his water dish on him and he let go.
Whenever else I take him out of the cage he is usually fine, just when feeding.
He also has been having problems eating, he'll strike and coil, but then he acts like he cannot see it and has too look around for about an hour to find it again. could these be related?
I feel him a large mouse every other week. It's always been this way.
What could be causing his aggression? Should I just always wear a glove when handling him from now on?
