So you believe that a governments purpose is to exist not for the people but for itself? The growth of the government and it's power comes before all else including the well being of the people. Governments like this do not last, never have and never will.

"On the day following the adoption of the UN resolution seven Jews were killed by Arabs in Palestine in three separate incidents: at 8 o'clock in the morning, in what came to be seen as the opening shots of the 1948 War"

hers the bottom line. the area in question was controlled by England and split up after WW2. Israel as well as existing arab states were given parts of this land. the arabs said "fuck that. lets kill the israelis and take their shit too." they got fucked up when they tried. they tried it again a number of times over the years with the same result. now they use their inability to destroy israel as justification for terrorist acts.

And it's not a fucking country. It's a reference name to the region.

That would be like saying that the Orient is a country.

Oh and regarding the original topic:
Israel has left Gaza completely and is in the process of removing the small scattered settlements in the west bank. The settlers from the west bank settlements are being consolidated into West Jerusalem which technically isn't Palestinian land or Israeli land. It was supposed to be and should still be considered an international city which means anyone can live there. That would give the Palestinians 99% of what they want. The 1% more being Jerusalem. As it is now both Israelis and Palestinians live in Jerusalem. Palestinians want it to be Palestinian only. Israeli's could care less if Palestinians live there, they would just like to be able to visit the temple mount again. Last time a jew tried that it started the second intifada and wave after wave of attacks on Israeli civilians.
