    What is Passport .net?

    I found this on windows xp user account options, please give me a full explanation on what it does? thanks

    It has nothing to do with immigration. Do you mean it is set as a trusted site in your IE? It should be. I have no idea what it would be doing in your user account options though.

    Passport.net is the site that is used for you to sign in with your Windows Live ID (formerly known as your passport). You use it to sign in to Microsoft sites like Hotmail , XBox, Live.com, etc. Plus you can use it to sign in to certain other companies' sites too if they support passport.
