There's nothing wrong with slash if a) that's what you're into and b) it's logical and tastefully done, but it's still not considered acceptable by everyone, hence why it tends to get placed in the 'taboo' category.

Slash just isn't appropriate on shows in which the stars are 8-11-year-old kids. For that matter, kids that age shouldn't be having sexual relations with anyone, which is something else that fanfiction writers tend to forget.
