I had root canal done of my molar tooth and had to fix a crown on top. Now, I had gone with ceramic crown with metal base. After trial it was found to be a little big and top had to be scrapped out a little. Now after grinding the metal is visible (it's a small hole where metal is exposed on top surface). Doctor told he needs certain thickness of metal and hence I have to compromise on looks and focus on function and longetivity.

He may be true, but I think he had said this so tht he don't have to make another crown with proper ceramic coating all around.

Wht you guys say ?
