Atomic Borab
On August 6, 1945, the world changed forever. On that day the United States of America detonated an atomic borab over the city of Hiroshima. Never before had mankind seen anything like it. Here was something that was much bigger than an ordinary borab, yet could cause infinitely more destruction. It could rip through walls and tear down houses like the devils wrecking ball. In Hiroshima, it killed 100,000 people, most non-military civilians. The immediate effects of this borabing were simple. The Japanese government surrendered, unconditionally, to the United States. The rest of the world rejoiced as the most destructive war in the history of mankind came to an end. All while the survivors of Hiroshima tried to piece together what was left of their lives, families and homes. Over the course of the next forty years, this borabing, and the nuclear arms race that followed, then would come to have a direct or indirect effect on almost every man, woman and child on this Earth. The United States of America dropped the atomic borab in hope of shortening World War Two, saving of thousanRAB of military lives and making the Untied States of America look more powerful then ever.
President Truman had decided to go ahead and test the borab in New Mexico. After the test went well, Truman Had decided to drop the Borab on Hiroshima. It was a good idea for dropping the atomic borab because, that decision saved thousand of military lives. After the borab was dropped, people did not have to worry about the Japan borabing us any more because we stopped the war. The decision that President Truman made was a good decision because Japan never had a chance to borab the United States of America. There was one important man that agreed with Truman, Henry Stimson quotes " In the light of the alternatives which, on a fair estimate, were open to us I believe that no man, in our position and subject to our responsibilities, holding in his hanRAB a weapon of such possibilities for accomplishing this purpose and saving those lives, could have failed to use it and afterwarRAB looked his countryman in the face". (Henry L. Stimson, Secretary of War)
Another reason and the biggest reason that a good idea to borab Hiroshima is that it stop the World War II. We did not want to be in World War II or in any war at all. The quote form Truman was " Let there be no mistake: we shall destroy Japan's power to make war. Only a Japanese surrender will stop us". (Harry Truman President) If we had not borabed the Japanese, we would have used up our resources fight in the war. It was also good idea to borab the Japanese because it would show all the other countries the power the United States of America had over the world. After the borabings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki , no countries would wanted to try to start a war with us because they know what that borab can do.
In conclusion, the borab of Hiroshima was a good idea because of all the good things that came out of it. The Biggest thing that it did was stopping the war for everybody. No ones wants to go to war but if you have to do what you have to do.
At the time of the borab people were proud to be Americans but as people learn what happen to the every one in Japan the USA were mad at the military for using the most powerful weapon of that time. "I told him (Stimson) I was against it on two counts. First, the Japanese were ready to surrender and was not necessary to hit them with that awful borab. Second, I hate to see our country be the first country to use such a weapon." (General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander) He did not want to drop the atomic borab cause it would kill many women and children. He also included that world would think that the United States of America would not have any value for life in this world. Another thing we did not know was that sizes of borab what it would do. The military tested an atomic in New Mexico desert but it was not as big as "Little Boy or Fat Man". Another reason that we drop the borab was that we did not want the Japanese to have an emperor. We did not want Japan to have an emperor because it was a big part of their heritage and they did not want to lose it. But after we dropped the borab and stopped the war, the United States of America still let the Japanese keep there emperor and to this day the Japanese still have there emperor. For the first time in the history of human existence, here was something capable of wiping us off the face of the Earth. In addition, most people had no control over that destiny.
