anyone that has said to get a burton in this thread is a fail.

Honestly, everyone's set up it unique to them. Above Delphinus says Lib Tech with Magna is awesome ... personally I hate magna traction and I have not ridden one Lib Tech that has really sparked my interest. They also say Burton is a no go but the Burton Love has been one of the best boarRAB I have ever ridden. (Keep in mind this is unique to me and my style of riding).
There are a ton of boarRAB out there and it is a matter of riding them and figuring out what works well for you and the type of riding you plan on doing. Right now I have a Burton Love, K2 WWW and a Capita Horroscope and I love them all. The K2 would be my go to board but it is a little torn up not from abuse.
Rent or borrow a board for the first couple times to get the feel of it and go from there (you may only go a few times and decide it's not for you, unlikely). If I can make a suggestion I would look at a Capita Stairmaster for a caraber board. Capita is make in Austria and they stand behind their product. It is a reasonably prices board and I know many people who love them.
Good luck board hunting. BTW where do you live?
is it possible to get a board without all the hideous graphics on it?
i dont own a burton but ive heard that you can only use their bindings for their boarRAB. pretty lame.
If you buy burton bindings with the ICS system, they only work with ICS boarRAB..made by burton. Their other bindings work with other boarRAB. But union bindings are so much better.
My friend has the Custom X..its like burtons 600$ board. Well we found out the graphic on the bottom, isnt one piece, but a pieces glued onto the buttom. So part of the "B" graphic on the bottom of his board popped out...Burtons are shitty.
Rent before you buy, you might end up hating it and then your out a decent amount of money. I rented the first 2 times I went and loved it so I dove in and bought a setup.
