You're at a loss because the dogma of your belief system has closed your mind.
Believe or non belief in God has nothing to do with a moral code.
Moral codes are merely what a group of people agree is moral or not moral.
If anything, statistically, I would bet you a good lunch that atheists generally behave more morally than religious people, pound for pound.
The reason?? Their morality is derived from rational thinking about what is good, harmful, just and fair to other human beings.
A moral code is a list of rules of behavior. Following them does not involve any thinking, only memorization.
I make up my rules of behavior as I go along based on ethical principles.
The Golden Rule is an ethical principle. People who cannot see their life as part of a bigger picture need moral codes that they can memorize, so they do not have to think for themselves.
Memorized moral codes are ethics for dummies.

I'm so sick of these questions. Get over it. I can't comprehend that you believe there is some big guy in the sky controlling life. my life makes more sense without god than it did 10 years ago when i believe in him. You know who taught me morals my parents. They taught me what was right and wrong
