I think she is just looking to cause some trouble. She wants to steal the attention away from the bride.

Traditional wedding etiquette says it's a definite no-no. But if I was the one getting married, I wouldn't care if everyone else decided to wear the same color as me.

That's a big no with one exception. If the bride picked an unusual colour (not white or ivory) and didn't tell people then it might have accidentally happened.
