Yeah, it's held up through now. Wonder what they're thinking... first time in recent history that they've bucked that previous trend, even when the Euro was much stronger against the dollar. Amazon's pricing should be interesting.

The old $15 medianet e71/e71x backdoor days might be over.
Don't know if you heard about what happened recently to the Sony x10a users.
Check out the threads both here and in XDA. Everyone with X10a's on $15 unlimited plans had no problems until recently when AT&T launched their own X10. Everyone with x10a's got dinged with the upgrade capped plan message, and now all those guys are forced to sell off their x10a's because they still want to keep their $15 plans.
The same may happen with the N8, which is why the e7 might be the safer route to go with if AT&T decides to pull the trigger on the N8...
Shop BLT return policy sucks.

exactly this. but there are not enough of you for nokia to make it a real business. eventually they will need to make a phone that appeals to masses of people buying them.
seeing as they don't have a blackberry, webOS, or android version right now, i'd say a symbian version would rank 999 out of 1000 on their priority scale
You might be surprised. This is not a location-specific service like, say, Netflix or Nook or Hulu or whatever so there's no specific reason that they shouldn't pick platforms based on global popularity as opposed to US popularity. The S60 platform has hundreds of millions of users and that makes it pretty economically compelling. The only caveat is that English might not be a first language for many, but most speak it nonetheless. You'd have more access to more users right now if you deployed for Symbian, and although Symbian isn't growing as quickly as Android it does still sell more units than Android so you've got more customers coming in every day than on any other platform.
my n97 is great. I dont have any issues with reception and my phone. the e71 on the other hand is known for subpar reception.
That return policy kept me from ordering one. They blame the manufacturer.
Good news for some. Looks like the nokiausa.com website will be getting the blue, orange, green and silver variants sometime this year.
Yeah, he's crazy. Never had any reception issues with my N97. Always great signal with my T-Mo or AT&T SIM
