I think that he never meaningfully encouraged her to engage with the townsfolk because he preferred to do his duties with Dorcas. He knew it and his wife knew it. I think that she would have become a very different wife to him if she were not second fiddle from the day he took her home.
Yes, but I had a crazed ambition to be an actress since the age of 11. It takes time for people to decide what paths they want to follow in life, and listen to Wizzy, what beautiful advice.
Wouldn't that mean she could drink if she's 19?
Series 1, Ep. 4:
This was the episode I first felt sorry for Pearl Pratt. No wonder she always thinks the worst of people and distrusts everyone, the way her father behaved.
Loved when Pearl says to Dorcas about giving shelter to her father: "You've always had a weakness for such romantical characters." LOL!
I also laughed when Zillah says to Dorcas, "Miss Pratt to see you, ma'am."
Dorcas: "Which one?"
Zillah: "Does it matter?"
The one scene with Timothy and Adelaide in it bugged me because he got all gooey over her suggesting he run over to Oxford to plead with the magistrate on behalf of Caroline's children. He thought she was showing she cared about the children when the only reason she said it was to get on his good side. She didn't care a whit about Caroline's brood. She's so cold and boorish. No wonder Timothy prefers Dorcas--she at least truly cares about others and always tries to help them.
And poor Thomas and Dorcas when that horrible man steals the wine jelly. So funny when Dorcas started to cry over it
'cause she was afraid of Thomas's reaction to losing out on it yet again!
woah, its gone real quite in here.
wow, you know your tea leaves! That's exactly what she will see! LOL!
Oh, okay.
WOW could be IC, wouldn't that be a great house to own?, wonder if the show is on iplayer?
Edit: found it, neeRAB a bit of work. Did the post master live right next door? Can't remember, but Flora's eyes have certainly viewed that house, it's over 200 years old
Lol, that hall is right beside my uni and I never even knew that twister was going to be there!
That was a great find The only thing was that it said that Liz Smith was still in it so Im not really sure how reliable it is.
