and attach the phone

it should detect 2 ports
install both of them

fitre bitpim,
in setting choose other cdma phone [don''t use auto detect]

in port look for the one named qualcomm diagnostic port 3197 and choose it

now you should get acces to the telephone

how to use it is on forum, remember to be in samsung usb mode here

and on sim save contacts only

yep, you haven't read the instructions carefully, two files per folder, .jad and .jar [ you can use jadmaker to make .jads] sis not supported since it's not a symbian

you should put games in Java folder on the Sd card - capitalized "J" each game in a spearate subfolder two files [jad ,jar] per game/app

do you have the green menu? if the dark grey one you have 1.1 version

And thank you for the wishes, I am definitely finding it hard to learn, especially writing in Polish. I can just about pronounce most words now, but I still think saying "sorry" in Polish sounds like a sneeze! lol

thx for the support, I think i'll install your mod this night or tomorrow morning, now i'm trying to backup my sms. no success with bitpim. but i think he'll work with your mod. z400 is a good phone except that i can't backup my data. anyways i'll try to do something with tk explorer. If you hafe good advice you're welcome. I have coffee and long night...

delete bitpim
use either admin menu or quick menu to change usb type

type code [as you'd type phone number] *#123580#

you should have a menu on screen type accordingly 9 > 6 > and you should see 3 types of usb mode press 2 for qualcomm usb

unpack this driver http://www.box.net/shared/5udqnir48s

plug the cable to the phone than to the pc

it should find a new device and ask for drivers, point to this cataloge it should install 2 devices

run bitpim

go settings mode

choose manualy other cdma phone

than go to port mode and try to see what's available - browse and choose the available one thath is marked as us
diagnostic interface

now check the option to see filesystem

it should work

Finally i install your mod, no pb for installation, but when i restart the phone i have message error and the phone freeze. I'm going to sleep, tomorrow i'll see and i'll try to get the message error for you. Thanks for your help...

Now it's good, and i found a trick to restore my sms and some of my old settings, i'll give explications later. Great jod on this mod.
