right on, but im still a bit confused. let me try this...
there are 2 ways i can connect to the net. 1. using MPT and 2. using the windows network connection.

if i do it the windows way, there are a few things that must be done in order to use dun. modem shows up correctly, but to configure it is beyond me.

the other way i could do it is to use MPT. i dont know the settings either.

im not trying to be a pain in the arse but i really want to get this to work. thx again for any additional help.

I've got a samsung R500 vue I've enabled bluetooth serial port and DUN, can now connect to phone via bluetooth dun... while I am waiting on a data cable...

Paired with a laptop that has BT (and vista) it is seen as a "modem over bluetoothlink on com 10...

    I've set up a login **********@mycricket.com
    password cricket...
it dials #777 just fine and connects

    COnnection info as follows:

    PPP adapter Cell:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : (***blank)
    Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Cell
    Physical Address. . . . . . . . . ***blank)
    DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
    Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
    IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.6.226.68(Preferred)
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.28.220.175
    172.28.220.176
    NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled
device name : Standard modem over bluetooth link
    device type: modem
    Server type: PPP
    Transports: TCP/IP
    Authentication: MD5 CHAP
    Compression:MPPC
    PPP multilink framing: Off

The phone displays a data call with a transmit and receive bar both have activity it also says "high data rate" with a connection timer

I tried entering the proxy info into IE.. not that it helped..
    I am not even getting a gateway ^^ 0.0.0.0
though it its pulling an IP address and Also DNS..

    Any IDeas?
