Treo 700w Flashed To Cricket Need Data

Ok listen im done with this thread after this post if you dont get it send it to someone else

You connect the usb to serial to your computer with the usb port this will then ask you to install some drivers install them. This emulates a comport.

You then take a usb cord that would normally plug into the usb port of the computer then to your treo. You cut this cord and throw away the usb part you only want the part that connects to the treo.

You then find the correct pinouts and either solder them to the pins of the DB9 or figure some way to connect them with either clamps or something else.

you then connect to the phone.

and go and buy a usb to serial looks like this

and connect the proper wires
its simple

Ok I Have Searched Every Page On This Posting And I Have Note Seen Anything Refering To A Palm Treo 700w. Does Anyone Know How To Get Data On This Phone If It Has Been Flashed To Cricket????? :doh: :help:

Well for some reason qpst will not read my phone with the cable....the computer detects the cable..... WTF!!! :devil:

look the easiest way to make a cable is to buy a

-Converter USB 2.0 To DB9M Dongle Serial Pc/mac Compat. RS232
-USB Type A Female to Female Adapter

you can find them in amazon and spend 25$ with shipping on both........ great product and no need to cut cable just plug and flash

Im so happy to be back to answer all these lingering questions. The Palm treo 700w cannot get working WAP OR MMS on cricket currently. Were working on it but havent found a solution yet.

:befuddled So what I am understanding is that you take the usb to serial wire and cut the usb end off and then take the data cable from the 700w and cut the the usb end off of this as well, and then slice tx to tx - rx to rx - and gnd to gnd.... Is this correct? If so how would I find out which is tx, rx, or gnd? :befuddled

Ok if you dont even understand how to use this in to proper way i would advise you not to even attempt it as you may result in damaging your device
