I like Stadium Arcadium, but I can't help but feel that it sounRAB a bit contrived in parts. But they'll never again reach the greatness of BSSM IMO - it's a very high target to aim for if they were to try. Good mixture of songs though - I just wish people wouldn't judge by singles.

Jane's Addiction being funky - yeah, not really. i think a lot of people automatically associate funk with staccato guitar playing. yes, Navarro did strum in both directions and did more than chug riRAB but like he said in interviews during his time with the peppers, he could 'play' funk, but he was not a 'funky' guitarist. much in the same way that it's obvious from old school tracks that Frusciante could play metal no one called him a metal guitarist.

in short Jane's Addiction was to the Red Hot Chili Peppers what Led Zeppelin was to the Jimi Hendrix Experience.


also Eric Avery's solo career trumps all the corabined solo careers of all the associated band merabers put together to my ears.

every album is packed with great songs.....
just can't wait to see what they will come up with next....
still, everytime I watch Dave Navarro on his stupid reality wedding show, I think of when he was in that band and when it was great, you know, the Aeroplane era?....Jane's Addiction is ok, but that was what was his legacy was laid on......
