I think they were smoking more than crack
I think while that's true, depending on what series you're watching, much can be lost in the translation. But you get the gist of it.
Like with movies, I tend to like both. I only speak English, so I think I need to watch both to get a fuller understanding of what I'm watching.
I guess Dubs are good that they lead you into the original sometimes. Its how i saw Sailor Moon and CardCaptor Sakura to begin with but sometimes i think they can turn you off from watching the original too.
I tried watching Advent Children in the dub version and quickly had to change it. Not that the dialogue was that much altered, the acting was really bad.
Okay, if anyone is confused, here's that e-mail again from that site:
One more time before I head for class...this is not going to take place. Some guy who was smoking some crack wrote this so it's a fake :lmao:
 If Leonardo Decaprio did a voice it'll be the biggest cartoon on tv
I agree, If the movie or show had non-kid dialoge in the first place it should remain that way.
I think 90% of the anime is better with sub
I don't necessarily prefer dubs, but I think they should be an option. And anything that creates work for actors is a good thing IMO. But that's just me.
Also, I think it gets more people into anime. I watch subtitled foreign movies all the time, but I never did it with anything animated. But well dubbed animes on Adult Swim got me into the genre (ie Cowboy Bebop).
Now I can go either way. If the VA's are good and expressive, I don't have a problem with dubbing.
