(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady is actually a good song.
I wouldn't argue with anyone regarding it's new found popularity and abuse. I am aware of it, but like you, I don't really listen to the music it's been adopted by lately. When I hear it used successfully in a genre of music I like, I can still find some enjoyment in it as I'm not totally desensitized to the effect. It is a shame how cookie cutter it is being used and tossed on far too many tracks.
I love all of U2's albums up to Rattle & Hum, especially Boy, War, and Joshua Tree.
You know, TCS, you could have just posted your unpopular opinion as you did in the KoL thread:
Because that's crazy unpopular. I assume you were speaking of Californication and By the Way, which are nowhere near Freaky Styley, Uplift Mofo, or Mother's Milk.
GravitySlips: were you only referring to recent RCHP or all of it? As a punk guy I kinda assumed you didn't mind 80s RHCP...
yes, I was gonna suggest to just listen to TOTBL because it is seriously incredible.
edit - james, it's a good song but not one I'm the most fond of out of all their material.
Not really sure what you guys think about Regina Spektor but..... I think she is a talentless whiny little *ahem* that can't sing with her own piano work. She can't sing on pitch to save her miserable little life.
Hahhahahahahahahahahahahaha
