I have never had my E71 reboot during a call. Never.
I have never had my E71 reboot during a call. Never.
Definately noticed some decreased battery over the past month on ATT's 3G network in DC. Have had the random rebooting issue as well. I definately agree on setting the phone to GSM only, it nearly doubles the battery between charges.
A few weeks ago while driving through northern NJ on the GSP, both my friend and I who both have N95-3 phones experienced a continuous reboot simultaneously. This reboot lasted about three reboots and I assumed it had something to do with a particular cell site since I had never experienced this phenomenon. After driving a little further, the problem went away. It was pretty freaky since it happened to both our phones at exactly the same time.
I dunno about you guys but when I'm on 2G I get 2 days battery life and on 3G I get a full week of battery life.
Fix your phones yo. It ain't at&t.
It very well could be, the only way to know is to uninstall it and or hard reset.
AT&T will be rolling out a FOTA to fix all the Nokia phones sold by them. Hopefully, Nokia will do a firmware update for all the unlocked E71-2. 3rd carrier on UMTS is not a common configuration that is why problem is limited to few areas.
AT&T doesn't have any info and neither does Nokia... sending it in for repair.
I'm having lack of 3G issues too.
I suspect it's this: I'd read that AT&T is shifting around much of its cell radio traffic and off-loading much of 3G data to the 850 frequency. They're also prioritizing iPhones. They can see if iPhones are pulling down data, and shifting the traffic to them as a priority.
It's either one of the two: Nokia phones or the way AT&T is shifting their data traffic around.....or both.
E71x reboots during a 3G call..never.
N95-4 reboots during a 3G call..never.
N97 reboots during a 3G call...yep, a couple times per week I'd say.
Thanks for the info. Maybe I will take my 6650 to Miami after all. Hopefully they will start it this week, before I get there. :buddies:
