The Mr. Men show that's based on the old Mr. Men and Little Miss books. Why did it take this long to make a animated series of it?

There actually was an earlier show. Somewhere in the early 90's, there was a syndicated series that integrated cartoons shorts with live action skits.
Another show I'm shocked got made:
Tales From the Cryptkeeper.
Who was smoking illegal substances when they decided to make a children's show based on a scary, gory anthology series?
Yep. Jafar's Return and Stitch! The Movie are more or less in the same boat.
I totally forgot about that movie
The whole Adult Swim comedy line-up. Sometimes this surprise is daring and exciting (i.e. Space Ghost, Aqua Teen). Other times, it's just flat-out stupid (even after everything else they made, how did Assy McGee get greenlit?).
Ozzy and Drix......You know, from the Warner Bros. hybrid movie Osmosis Jones?
The movie wasn't successful at all. Yet they made a show out of it? Lasted two years on Kids' WB!, then having a good run on Cartoon Network. They could've made a new Looney Tunes series after Looney Tunes: BIA, and yet I baffled on why WB didn't. That would've been better. Sigh.
Chop Socky Chooks... a horrid show in my opinion. A waste of celluloid. (forgive me if you are a fan of the show) but I just think its terrible.
Yeah. Thank god they never made that toon based on Paris Hilton. :ack: Frankly I hate it when toon versions of some one-note flavor-of-the-week are produced. Cheapens the entire art of animation, which is supposed to create characters that couldn't exist in our world. Or in the case of Paris, shouldn't.
Starship Troopers, Highlander, Robocop......
It got close.
I was surprised to see a Mr Bean cartoon got made.
And I recently came across one heluva mess of a 80's cartoon; Inhumaniods. Ok, someone throught it was a good idea to make a cartoon about murderous, hideos zombie-like mutants?
