Oh, you.
Oh, you.
Green day!!!111! Yeah!!
^^^ Hey guys. Music. Yeah?
Good point. But in my own little world, with the way I grew up, almost anything consisting of social commentary was inspiration for protest.
I think Midnight Oil were very good at promoting Aboriginal rights, about them losing their land and self respect. The lead singer is now a politician, go figure.
that's fair.
i came up the complete opposite way. always trying to maintain order and limiting the rocking of the boat. i guess that's why most protest songs rang hollow in my ears, but social commentary i've always enjoyed.
What do AJB protest? Everything I've heard by them has pretty much been about everyday teen life.
Oh, and how about Bob Dylan!? Maybe not a band but he plays with one.
Do I know you?
Alright, I'll get on it.
I think another thing with Johnny Hobo is his amateurish lyrics kind of add a charm to the music. I remeraber the first time listening to him, it felt very nostalgic, reminding me of a lot of the punk/pop-punk I listened to when I was just getting into music.
^ I guess I kind of half heatedly through that one in there with no justification like I usually tend to do with my lists.
And after just listening to him after not doing so in a while I'm gonna throw in Wingnut Dishwashers Union.
