I am looking for a basic clamshell GSM phone for an elderly relative. Requirements:
1) The display should be bright, large and easy to read. As a clamshell phone is desired, the phone should also have a secondary display which displays the time very brightly and legibly.
2) The buttons should be easy to press. The controls must not require fine-motor control.
3) The reception and voice quality must be excellent, especially for someone a little hard of hearing.
4) The carrier will be Cingular, so should have 850 and 1900 bands, but it not need be a world phone.
5) A camera would be nice, but is not essential.
6) Bluetooth is not required. Neither are things like games or Java.
The phone can be very basic, but must be very reliable (no reboots), able to take a few drops to the ground, and have very good battery life.
Can someone recommend one?
Thanks.
