Shouldn't USA have been banned of having nuclear weapons because of its history?

Look at Germany. They are not a permanent member of UN Security Council because of the happenings in the 40s and ww2. More than 60 years have passed however they are still paying for what Hitler did.

Now about USA, they are the only country who has ever used nuclear weapons, but what did they pay for their deadly mistake? Nothing, instead, they are acting like the world police, they have 1000s of nuclear weapon types yet they cannot see other countries to access the nuclear knowledge, be it for peaceful purposes or not.
Such a childish excuse "we used it to end the war"! you kill others because they want others not to kill each other?
Uncle, as you said, USA has the right of using nuclear weapons if they get attacked 1st. How come they don't give the same right to other countries such as Iran to use atomic bomb, if they get attacked by USA or Israel?

In 1945, The US military was going to have to fight house to house against the ENTIRE ISLAND. They where going to fight men, women, children to the death because thats the bull shit type of propaganda Japan was preaching.

Hardly a mistake. That's what happens during war...you try to win with minimal losses, imposing maximal damage to the aggressor nation. Thank God the USA was the first to demonstrate to the world the magnitude of this new technology, against a nation that dragged us into a war we did not choose.

It was that use of nuclear weapons that has spared the world any repeat usage. Had they never been used, who knows where and when that first use would materialize, and whether any of us would still be here to pose such immature and inane questions.

Japan was the aggressor in the war. The only alternative to end the war was an invasion of the Japanese mainland, which was projected to have a greater loss of life than the nukes. It was a lesser of 2 evils choice by Truman, not aggression.

Who said it was a mistake? My father and my uncles were over their in the middle of that war and I for one am glad they made it home alive. If we would have gone all the way to Japan with foot soldiers we would have lost a round 1000000 more soldiers in that fight to take down Japan. Maybe you and I would not be here today.
