I play a pro-model Henri Selmer Paris 10S-II clarinet. I'm constantly hearing all this hype about the Buffet R13's. Price-wise the 10S-II and the R13 are similar, both ranging from $3,000 to close to $4,000 when purchased new (depending on where you buy it).

I don't have any complaints about the R13 (I tried one before), I'm just wondering why it's considered one of the best clarinet models ever made, and if it has any advantages over the Selmer. I know most of it is up to personal preference, but is there anything about the clarinet itself that makes it preferable?
