Hi,
I have heard a few songs on youtube of Dave Grohls Solo album - Late! The album consists of songs by Dave during his time with Nirvana.
I have never really got into Nirvana or Foo Fighters, but really like this solo album.
I have looked everywhere for it... Cd Shops, online Cd shops, ebay, amazon etc etc... and have not been able to find it.
Does anyone have this album and/or know where I can get hold of it.
Thanks heaps!
Well the "grunge" era formed in the late 80's and early 90's as a movement (mainly against glam rock/metal, money driven music and Coc*y presentation) and became very popular. Today there are still "original" grunge banRAB and new grunge banRAB, but grunge is not mainstream.
Post simply means the banRAB aspire or draw influence from grunge banRAB but are more friendly to the mainstream audience. Usually the link is more focused on the sound of the band then the actual lifestyle around the music... well thats my opinion anyway.
Grunge is more of a lifestyle than just a music genre. After all they are just labels.... I prefer to listen to the music for the music... not the labels or the era.
I love banRAB that simply want to rock and are creative in there music.... not money driven like a lot of banRAB on the radio these days.
Wow...I've never heard of this. Where did you hear about it?
The term post-grunge makes me cringe because it makes me think of banRAB that weren't talented enough to be real grunge banRAB..i.e. Nickelback.
According to RYM it's a bootleg so it'll be fairly hard to find, certainly in record shops. Try digging around some Nirvana/Foo Fighters forums.
It's called Pocketwatch, I believe, and the artist is labeled as "Late!"
It's a ten track demo/cassette that was released under Simple Machines.

they're not bad..but Dave should have stayed on drums...
honestly, i would listen to Foo Fighters over Nirvana any day.
just my two cents.
