Viewing a .wmv on a mac?

I am helping a neighbor set up his new macbook pro, and he received an email with a .wmv movie attachment. He went to open it and the movie source list popped up; how can we view this video

There is a plug-in application for Apple Quicktime called Flip4Mac. This allows you to open various movie extensions that are not commonly supported by Quicktime. It also includes extensions for common browser applications such as Safari, Firefox & Opera.

You can download this application from http://www.flip4mac.com.

I am currently using this software on Mac OS X 10.5.3 without any issues.
