Do you want the appropriate answer or the REAL one?
The appropriate answer for "the powers that be" are that the worker will continue to try to work more hours and add to his or her overall financial picture by allowing themselves to spend more. By working more the worker is contributing more to the labor supply.
The REAL answer is that once the worker finds out that all his overtime pay is taxed to the point they actually make more money NOT doing overtime, they will no longer work overtime, spend more NOR care whether they are hurting the nations "labor supply" or not!!!
