Thread: Please help me identify poem about a man about to be executed by firing squad.?

I heard the poem on BBC Radio's 'Poetry Please' some years ago, The man about to be excuted is backed up to the post (or wall) and is actually remembering having his height read, as a child, against the wall at home. He used to push himself up on his toes to make himself as tall as possible.
Did the excutioners notice him doing it again as he dreamed and they fired? (Gulp).
